		<description>True story: my mother makes a dish of this ilk (potatoes and chickpeas) at least once a fornight. I don&#039;t know if you&#039;re a fan of tomatoes or not, but if you add some in after the onions you can make it a little soupier (with an added tang) and then it&#039;s delicious with roti. 

We make it without mashing the potatoes, but I&#039;ll have to try it this way and see if it makes a difference.</description>
